Primula profits help fund £215,000 boost for young people’s mental health

Every time someone picks up a tube of Primula, they’re helping to make a difference. As part of the Kavli Group, 100% of our profits go to the Kavli Trust, which supports so many brilliant charities.

We’re super proud to share that the Kavli Trust has awarded £215,000 to North East charity Mortal Fools, funding projects that support children and young people with their mental health and wellbeing.

Mortal Fools is an award-winning creative learning charity that uses drama, theatre and digital projects to help young people build confidence, resilience and practical tools to manage their mental health.

The new funding will support three key areas of work:

  • MELVA Digital – a creative programme that has already reached 11,000 children across 130 schools, helping them learn practical ways to manage mental health.
  • Wellbeing Practice Guide & Evaluation Toolkit – moving this framework online so schools and youth organisations across the UK can strengthen the impact of their wellbeing work.
  • Creative Health initiatives – expanding projects co-created with schools to support transition, reduce absenteeism and advocate for wider change in children’s mental health.

This is the second time Mortal Fools has received funding from the Kavli Trust, highlighting a strong partnership and shared commitment to supporting young people.

Kiz Crosbie, Artistic Director and CEO of Mortal Fools, said:
“We continue to be deeply grateful for the Kavli Trust’s support. Together, we can bring about enormously positive outcomes for the children and young people involved.”
