Great North Air Ambulance Service flying high thanks to £26,000 investment from Primula

We donate all our profits to good causes in the UK and around the world via the Kavli Trust. Each year we offer all employees the chance to nominate causes close to their hearts to receive a surprise donation. Our team chose the Great North Air Ambulance Service, recognising the charity and the vital service it offers communities across the North East earlier this year.

The £26,000 investment to the Great North Air Ambulance Service will contribute to two new paramedics joining the service, to help with their focus to offer 24/7 critical care support in the region. Front line staff are at the heart of this charity and without the 106 employees the service currently has, major traumas across areas such as Newcastle, Cumbria and Teesside would go unattended.

Hannah Powell, fundraising lead at the Great North Air Ambulance Service, said: “We are so grateful to Primula for this funding, without investment like this we wouldn’t be able to continue offering the critical service that we do.

“We attend to around 1,500 people every year, that’s on average five incidents a day that require critical care in our region alone. Thank you so much to the staff at Primula for helping to make this service possible.”
