The Classic Squeeze Burger
Not all cheeseburgers are created equal. And after you make this Classic Squeeze Burger, complete with Primula Original Cheese (or even Cheese & Jalapeno if you’re feeling spicy), you’ll understand why. Separate your BBQ burger from the rest of the field by following our recipe and giving it the flavoursome respect it deserves…
- Serves 4
What you need
- ½ tbsp olive oil
- 1 onion, peeled and diced
- 500g British beef mince (15% fat)
- 1 tsp mixed dried herbs
- 1 egg, beaten
- 4 brioche
- Iceberg lettuce
- 1 salad tomato
- 1 red onion
How you do it
Heat the olive oil in a frying pan, add the onion and cook for five minutes until it’s softened and starting to turn golden. Set aside and allow to cool.
Place the cooked onion, beef mince, herbs, and egg in a bowl. Using your hands bring the mixture together, ensuring the ingredients are evenly mixed. Season to taste.
Using your hands, shape into 4 burgers and refrigerate until ready to cook.
Place on the BBQ or skillet and cook for 5 to 6 minutes on each side.
Serve on a brioche bun with the lettuce, red onion, and tomato. Then give it a generous squeeze of creamy Primula Cheese.
