Steak and Squeeze Tacos
Forget the Friday night takeaway and whip up these easy-to-make, deliciously decadent Steak and Cheese Tacos instead. They’re great fun to assemble with a group and your ingredients can be customised for everyone’s tastes. If you’re feeling fiery, add a bit of Primula Cheese ‘n’ Jalapeños for the perfect extra kick!
What you need
- TACOS
- 400 g steak, sliced
- 1 yellow pepper, sliced
- 1 onion, sliced
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 30 g fajita seasoning
- SALSA
- 3 beef tomatoes, diced
- 1/2 onion, diced
- 1 lime juice
- Handful coriander
- 1 green chilli, finely sliced (optional)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- CHEESY GUACAMOLE
- 1 ripe avocado, peeled and diced
- 50 g Primula Original Cheese
- 1/2 onion, finely diced
- 1/2 lime juice
- TO SERVE
- 100 g Primula Original Cheese
- Coriander
- Lime Juice
How you do it
Begin by mixing the steak, peppers and onion with the fajita seasoning.
Put a large frying pan on a medium-high heat.
Add the oil to the frying pan.
Shallow fry until the vegetables are golden and softened, ensuring the steak is thoroughly cooked.
Remove from the heat and allow to rest for 2-3 minutes.
Mix the cheesy guacamole ingredients and serve.
Mix all the salsa ingredients in a serving dish and set aside.
Drain any excess juices from the taco filling.
Serve with Primula Original Cheese, fresh lime, and coriander, and get ready for the endless compliments to start flowing.
