Squeeze & Bake Puffed Pigs in Blankets

A deliciously cheesy twist on a party favourite! These Easy Squeeze Puffed Pigs in Blankets are wrapped in golden puff pastry with a melty centre of Primula Original and a touch of sweet redcurrant jelly. Quick to make and seriously moreish, they’re perfect for festive platters, picnics, or anytime snacking. Don’t forget an extra squeeze of Primula for dipping!

What You Need

  • 140g Primula Original Cheese

  • 1 ready-rolled puff pastry sheet

  • Redcurrant jelly

  • 12 pork pigs in blankets

  • Sprigs of thyme

  • 1 egg, beaten (to glaze)

How You Do It

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C/180°C Fan/Gas 6.

  2. Unroll the puff pastry and cut into 12 squares.

  3. Squeeze a little Primula Original onto the centre of each pastry square and add ½ tsp of redcurrant jelly.

  4. Place one pig in blanket diagonally across each square and top with a sprig of thyme.

  5. Fold two opposite corners of the pastry over the sausage and seal using a little beaten egg.

  6. Transfer to a baking tray and brush each parcel with the remaining egg.

  7. Bake for 25–30 minutes until the sausages are cooked and the pastry is golden and crisp.

  8. Serve warm with a generous squeeze of Primula Original Cheese.
