Ham, Cheese & Mustard Squeeze Toastie Fingers

Perfectly crispy on the outside and ooey-gooey on the inside, these Ham, Cheese & Mustard Squeeze Toastie Fingers make a quick and satisfying snack or lunch. The secret? A generous squeeze of creamy Primula Original Cheese for unbeatable flavour.


  • 8-10 Toastie Fingers
  • `15 Minutes

What You Need

  • 4 slices square wholemeal bread
  • 2 tsp English mustard
  • 4 slices honey roast ham
  • 140g Primula Original Cheese
  • Butter, for toasting

How You Do It

  1. Spread: Spread the English mustard evenly over two slices of bread.

  2. Layer: Top each mustard-coated slice with 2 slices of honey roast ham.

  3. Squeeze: Generously squeeze Primula Original Cheese in a zig-zag pattern over the ham.

  4. Assemble: Finish by placing the remaining slices of bread on top to form two sandwiches.

  5. Cook: Heat your toastie maker or frying pan and add a little butter to the cooking surface.

  6. Toastie maker: Place sandwiches inside, close the lid, and cook for 3–5 minutes until golden and crispy.

  7. Frying pan: Cook each sandwich for 3–5 minutes per side, pressing down gently with a spatula to keep them together and ensure even toasting.
  8. Cool & slice: Remove from heat, let cool on a wire rack for 5 minutes, then slice into fingers.

  9. Serve: Enjoy warm for the ultimate comfort snack!
