Christmas Leftovers Festive Squeeze Toastie with Primula Pigs in Blankets

When Christmas dinner is over but your fridge is still full of leftovers, this toastie is the answer. A festive toastie packed with turkey, stuffing, pigs in blankets and cranberry sauce finished with a generous squeeze of Primula Pigs in Blankets. Warm, melty and totally delicious.

Primula Pigs In Blankets

  • Serves 1
  • Ready in about 10 minutes

What you need

  • 2 slices thick-cut white or sourdough bread

  • Butter for spreading

  • 3 to 4 tablespoons Primula Pigs in Blankets

  • 1 to 2 slices cooked turkey or chicken

  • 1 to 2 stuffing balls, sliced

  • 1 tablespoon cranberry sauce

  • 3 to 4 pigs in blankets, sliced or halved

  • Optional: turkey gravy for dipping

How you do it

  1. Butter the outside of each slice of bread.

  2. On the unbuttered side, layer turkey, stuffing, sliced pigs in blankets and cranberry sauce.

  3. Squeeze 3 to 4 tablespoons of Primula Pigs in Blankets over the filling.

  4. Close the sandwich with the buttered sides facing outwards.

  5. Toast in an air fryer or a pan over medium heat for 3 to 4 minutes on each side until the bread is golden, crisp and the cheese is melted.

  6. Serve immediately. Dunk in warm turkey gravy if you like extra festive indulgence.
