Spinach and Asparagus Pasta

Quick and tasty pasta with asparagus, onion, garlic, cayenne pepper and lemon. Light, yet deliciously creamy with Primula Light Cheese 'n' Onion.

Primula Light Cheese
  • 140g Primula Light Cheese 'n' Onion
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
  • 200g tagliatelle, dried
  • ¼ tsp cayenne pepper
  • ½ lemon, juice and zest
  • 1 bunch green asparagus, in pieces
  • 65g baby leaf spinach, fresh

How you do it
  • Fry the onion and garlic gently with low-calorie cooking spray until golden.
  • Meanwhile, cook the pasta according to pack instructions.
  • Add black pepper, cayenne pepper, lemon juice and zest to the onion. Gently cook for two minutes.
  • Stir in the Primula Light Cheese 'n' Onion. Bring to a simmer and remove from the heat until ready to serve.
  • In a separate pan, fry the asparagus for two minutes.
  • Pour the sauce over the cooked pasta. Add the asparagus, spinach leaves and chilli flakes and serve.
