Savoury Pancakes

Pancakes aren't just for Shrove Tuesday! They're perfect for a scrumptious breakfast or brunch any day of the week! We've used Primula Cheese 'n' Ham in this pancake recipe but feel free to add any of our delicious flavours!

Tube of Primula Cheese 'n' Ham
  • 4 tbsp Primula Cheese 'n' Ham
  • 100g plain flour
  • 1 large egg
  • 225ml milk
  • 2 tsp oil
  • 150g mushrooms
  • 2 handfuls spinach
  • 80g thick-cut ham

  • Heat 1 tsp oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  • Slice the mushrooms and add to the pan. Cook for 5 minutes until softened.
  • Meanwhile, dice the ham.
  • Add the ham and spinach to the pan and cook until the spinach has wilted.
  • Tip the mixture into a bowl and set aside. Wipe out the pan.
  • Whisk the flour, egg, milk and 1 tsp oil in a bowl or jug until smooth.
  • Pour enough batter into the pan to thinly cover the base. Cook over medium heat for 1-2 minutes on each side.
  • Remove from the pan, set aside and repeat until you have used up the batter.
  • Spread Primula Cheese 'n' Ham over ¼ of each pancake and add a few spoonfuls of the spinach mix on top. Fold in half and then into a quarter.
  • Serve.
