No Mess Moussaka

Try our No Mess Moussaka for a 1 pan taste sensation that you won’t want to mous ’out on.

  • Yields: 4 servings


2tbsp olive oil

1 large onion, diced

2 garlic cloves, finely chopped

500g minced lamb

1 aubergine, diced

400g tin chopped tomatoes

2tbsp tomato purée

2tsp ground cinnamon

2tsp mint sauce

150g Primula Original Cheese

1 handful of fresh mint, chopped (optional)


1Heat the oil in a large shallow pan. Add the onion and garlic and fry until soft.

2Add the mince and aubergine and fry for 5 minutes, until the meat is browned.

3Add the chopped tomatoes, tomato purée and cinnamon, then season to taste. Simmer for 20 minutes.

4Add the mint sauce and stir through.

5To serve, top with Primula Original Cheese and, if you’d like, fresh mint.


7Serve with salad and toasted pitta.
