Our twist on the Friday night classic, introducing Pasta Pizza. Pasta Pizza is filled with our delicious Light Cheese, so you can relax and enjoy it that little bit more.
400g penne pasta
For the sauce:
5 sprays of Frylight
½ can chopped tomatoes
½ red onion, finely chopped
1 tsp Italian seasoning (Or could use chopped tomatoes with herbs)
1 clove garlic, crushed
1tbsp tomato puree
150g tube of Primula Light Cheese
2 mushrooms, diced
2-3 slices of wafer thin ham, cut or torn into squares
½ pepper, diced
A few fresh basil leaves
1Add the pasta to a pan of salted boiling water.
2Meanwhile, spray Frylight into a large, shallow, heavy bottomed pan (preferably a round one that you can pop into the oven straight after) and fry the onions on a low heat, stirring until they are softened.
3Add the garlic and the tomatoes to the pan and sprinkle with Italian seasoning.
4Season to taste and simmer for 5 minutes, then stir through the tomato puree, to thicken.
5Check that the pasta is al dente, then drain and add pasta to the sauce.
7Top the pasta with Primula Light Cheese, and then sprinkle with the mushrooms, ham and peppers.
8Place in the oven on 180°C for 10-15 minutes, or until cheese bubbles and is golden.
